BIOGRAPHY

Sarah Nolan joined Centre College in September 2021 as Vice President for Strategic Marketing and Communications. Before coming to Centre, she served as Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations & Development and Campaign Communications at the University of Chicago, where she led strategic philanthropic communications and digital marketing efforts. Prior to that, she was UChicago’s first-ever Director of International Communications, overseeing public relations and reputation management across China, India, Europe, and other global regions.

Before transitioning to higher education, Sarah built a career in government and politics. At the U.S. Department of State, she served as Acting Deputy Special Representative and Senior Advisor for Global Partnerships in the Secretary’s Office of Global Partnerships. Previously, as Assistant Chief of Protocol for Diplomatic Partnerships, she helped develop and implement public-private partnerships that connected U.S. and foreign government officials with business, academic, and civic leaders.

Earlier in her career, Sarah worked on several U.S. political campaigns at both the state and national levels, including three presidential campaigns.

She holds a Master of Arts in Art History and Modern History from the University of St Andrews in Scotland.
